Away Meet to the Gower. Gower caves, including Tooth Cave. Camping (probably at Kennexstone Farm Campsite, but still to be booked!) Cave Sec Writes: Although this may seem a long way in advance, this message contains information on how to book your place at the campsite for the Gower weekend in June. As the Gower can get very busy and campsites fill up fast, it is necessary to arrange the bookings in advance to ensure that the campsite can put aside sufficient space to accommodate all of us together. We will be staying at the Kennexstone Farm Campsite. Their website is: http://www.gowercamping.co.uk/ In order to book, please contact David on 01792 386790 or email at: kennexstone@btinternet.com Please mention that you are part of the Shepton Mallet Caving Club booking - if you don’t, you may not end up in the group area! There is a £20 deposit PER TENT regardless of size, payable at the time of booking. This can either be done by card or cheque. Booking conditions and costs can be found on the website at: http://www.gowercamping.co.uk/pitch-availability (please note costs vary with tent size). Also, please note that you will need to let them know if you expect to arrive after 8pm, as I’m sure some of you who are traveling further will be (this should be less of an issue for us as I am hoping we will have a large area reserved for us). All bookings must be made by 2 weeks prior to the weekend (i.e. by 10th June), in order to assure that we are all together. I will be contacting the campsite before this deadline to find out how many bookings have been received, so I can chase those who are tardy! Arrangements are already being put in place to secure keys for Tooth Cave and Llethrid Swallet (from SWCC), and there are many other smaller caves on the Gower as well as some fabulous walks, so I do hope to see as many of you there as possible! Any further questions, please do contact me. Finally, please can you let me know when you have booked, so I have an idea of numbers (and how many barrels of Rogers finest we may need!) Regards, Caving Sec.
